Threshold Housing is funded by the Province of Nova Scotia, federal programs, foundations, and individual donors. Your donation goes to keeping people in their homes in Halifax-Dartmouth.

Businesses of every size support Threshold Housing through workplace giving campaigns on CanadaHelps or United Way, sponsorship of our annual Housing Matters dinner (packages from $1,000 to $25,000), and matched employee donations or community grants. We send every partner a yearly report on what the money did, and we will shape a program to fit your company.

Donated goods and services
What our transitional housing residents and our office need most.
- Beds, bedding, kitchen supplies, and small appliances in clean, good condition
- Grocery gift cards (Sobeys, Superstore) and transit passes
- Pro bono legal, accounting, translation, and design services
- Volunteers or a truck on move-in days
- Security deposit contributions for a client moving into their own apartment
