Who We Are
Lantern Arts Collective was founded in 2016 by a group of Edmonton artists who believed that arts access was deeply unequal — and that they could do something about it. We started with a borrowed studio and a single open-door policy: anyone who wants to make art can come in.
Today we run four core programs, maintain a 3,500 sq ft community studio in the McCauley neighbourhood, and pay all participating artists fairly — because we believe that artists should be compensated for their work, especially when they're giving back to their communities.
